Residents Flock to Jakarta City Hall to Welcome Pramono-Rano

Thousands of people gathered to welcome the arrival of Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor, Pramono Anung Wibowo-Rano Karno at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (2/20).

As monitored by Beritajakarta.id, residents and invited guests began to arrive at the Jakarta City Hall since 9 AM.

A number of invited guests came to the event, namely Sutiyoso (Jakarta Governor for 1997-2007 period), Fauzi Bowo (Jakarta Governor for 2007-2012 period), Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Jakarta Governor for 2014-2017 period), Anies Rasyid Baswedan (Jakarta Governor for 2017-2022 period) Sumarsono (former Jakarta Acting Governor), Ahmad Riza Patria (Jakarta Deputy Governor for 2019-2022 period).

As well as Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairperson, Ima Mahdiah; Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Inspector General Karyoto; Pangdam Jaya, Major General Rafael Granada Baay, and Betawi Figure, Eddi M. Nalapraya.

Around 12:15 PM, Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno arrived at Jakarta City Hall and entered through Lawang I Gate accompanied by marawis and tanjidor performances. Upon arrival in front of Jakarta City Hall's Pavilion, they were welcomed with Palang Pintu tradition.

Ammar (45), a resident of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, said that he wanted to witness the welcoming of Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno, at Jakarta City Hall, after being inaugurated at the State Palace.

"Congratulation for Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno. Hopefully they can bring Jakarta to light in the next five years," he expressed, Thursday (2/20).

Meanwhile, the other resident named Yulina (39) admitted that she was happy to be able to witness the welcoming of Pramono Anung-Rano Karno as the new Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor.

"I'm happy, the event is also very lively and crowded. We can also watch music performances and enjoy free food and beverages," she conveyed.
